Our Impact Stats From 2024 37 people found safe housing at the Tillsonburg Light House and the Huron House Woodstock. 11 schools participated in the Strong Start program. 403 individuals accessed immediate mental health counselling. 632 seniors accessed support from a United Way-funded program. 185 individuals were supported to stay housed, avoiding eviction and homelessness. 42 local jobs are supported by United Way investments. 1,200 supportive connections provided to families facing challenges. 101 children received access to free in-school literacy tutoring. 1 in 5 people in Oxford County are impacted by a United Way-funded program. 1,316 youth were supported through the Supplies4Students program. 1,777 youth participated in mentorship or skill development opportunities. 95 women-identifying individuals received trauma-informed counselling after experiencing sexual violence. 799 volunteers contributed 4,524 volunteer hours. 2,109 boxes of menstrual hygiene products were collected and delivered to 19 local organizations. 2,081 people supported to meet their basics needs like food and shelter. 23 youth received immediate mental health services to support them through a crisis. 474 volunteer hours were contributed to complete on Day of Caring. 1,200 high school students participated in the annual student stair climb 10 Day of Caring projects were completed. 3,729 children and youth received support through a United Way-funded program.
