Day of Caring is coming June 6, 2024.
This event is a community-wide United Way initiative that demonstrates the power of volunteers and the collective impact we have when we work together. By completing much needed projects across the community, workplace volunteers are helping to create a stronger, vibrant Oxford County. United Way Oxford invites local non-profit organizations to submit a project request from their “wish list” that will enhance the work of their organization or make a difference to the people they serve. These hands-on projects include cleaning and planting gardens, painting, repair work, light maintenance, cleaning, minor plumbing installations, storage sheds, wheelchair ramps, decks and more. United Way Oxford secures sponsorship, volunteer labour and donated supplies to complete the job.
United Way Oxford invites the community to celebrate Day of Caring in your own little way! You can participate by helping to spread local love through acts of kindness and by sharing gratitude to those around us.
You can make a donation to help support people in Oxford County with things like Mental Health Counselling, food security, and school preparedness for students in Oxford County.
Out and about for a nice springtime walk?
Email us and we’d love to share some “I Dig Your Garden” Cards to share with neighbours whose gardens bring a smile to your face.
There are so many ways you can show your local love! If you have a workplace or team that would be interested in participating in a future Day of Caring, reach out to lindsay@unitedwayoxford.ca and we can provide you with more information. There’s also opportunities for small group or individual projects! Day of Caring takes place on the first Thursday in June, with other opportunities throughout the year.
This event is proudly sponsored by MW&Co. Wealth Management.
