This year marks the 8th annual event, presented by United Way Oxford’s Women United!
Period poverty is real and it’s a problem across Canada and locally. It’s prioritizing food over tampons or housing and bills over menstrual supplies to survive each month when you’re struggling to make ends meet.

Menstrual hygiene products are one of the most requested, yet least donated items at food banks, and with the cost of living on the rise, these types of supports are so important to help families and individuals who are facing poverty or limited budgets.
Last year, we collected 2,019 boxes of menstrual hygiene products and provided support to 19 different organizations across Oxford County, because of your donations!
See below for ways you can get involved this year and make a difference!
-
- Host a collection drive at your workplace or with a group that you’re involved with.
- Bring your friends, family and colleagues to our networking event on Tuesday, March 4th between 5 and 7 PM at Kelseys Roadhouse in Woodstock or Tillsonburg, and Scotch & Ponder in Ingersoll and enjoy some light refreshments and engaging conversation.
- Donate online now through our website or at the event to help continue providing donations throughout the year.
