2016 Wes Magill Award – Beth Taylor

Beth Taylor is a community champion passionate about giving back in Oxford County! She has done this her entire adult life working as a teacher, advocate, volunteer, friend and parent. To many, Beth is known for her passion in helping children and youth in Oxford County reach their potential. She believes that one caring adult can make the difference in a child’s life. She has been that caring adult for so many and volunteers to ensure everyone has the opportunity to thrive and be a part of a strong community.

United Way Oxford has been extremely fortunate to have Beth serve in many volunteer roles throughout the past 25 years. The Wes Magill Award is built on this foundation of passion and commitment. Wes Magill was integral in the early days of United Way Oxford. He was influential in ensuring the expertise of this organization was supported by local businesses and individuals to build a strong community. Beth exemplifies this award through her willingness to go the ‘extra mile’ and work together to create a brighter future for everyone in Oxford. Along with the Magill Family, we are proud to honour Beth as the recipient of the 2016 Wes Magill Award.
